ARLINGTON, VA – Ahead of the June 12th Democratic primary, former Arlington County Board Chair Jay Fisette will host a fundraiser in support of Democrat Matt de Ferranti on Wednesday, May 23rd. Congressman Lloyd Doggett will headline the event and offer remarks in support of Matt de Ferranti’s candidacy for the Arlington County Board.
“I am thrilled to be supporting Matt for the Arlington County Board and to be hosting this event,” said Mr. Fisette. “Matt shares my commitment to Arlington and to ensuring that our community retains our compassion, fiscal integrity and focus on long-term sustainability. Matt will be a strong addition to the County Board. I look forward to hosting Congressman Doggett and to what I know will be a wonderful evening.”

Also co-hosting will be Delegate Rip Sullivan, School Board Members Reid Goldstein and Tannia Talento, Clerk of the Court Paul Ferguson, along with several other prominent Arlington Democrats. Arlington elected officials Senator Adam Ebbin and Delegate Alfonso Lopez have also endorsed County Board candidate de Ferranti.
This announcement comes ahead of the second debate of the Arlington primary, which will take place on Wednesday, May 2nd at 7:00pm at the NRECA (4301 Wilson Blvd, Arlington, VA 22203).
