ARLINGTON, VA – Matt de Ferranti, the Democratic nominee for the Arlington County Board, will be joined by former Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe on Monday, August 27th for an event in Arlington at the home of Commissioner of Revenue Ingrid Morroy. The event will focus on jobs and economic growth and comes as the campaign season heads into its final two months.
“Matt is an outstanding member of the Arlington community,” said Governor McAuliffe. “His vision and commitment to sustainable economic development is the progressive leadership we need at every level. He is committed to creating jobs, investing in education, and moving Arlington forward. I am happy to support him and look forward to a wonderful evening at Ingrid Morroy’s home.”
McAuliffe served as the 72nd Governor of Virginia from 2014 to 2018. He was chairman of the Democratic National Committee from 2001 to 2005.

His record on economic growth reflects the vision and energy Arlington has been, is, and must be, all about. I will work to bring similar vision and energy to the County Board so that we can grow our economy and invest in Arlington’s future.”
