The International Association of Firefighters Local 2800 endorses Matt de Ferranti for Arlington County Board.

ARLINGTON, VA– The International Association of Firefighters Local 2800 has announced its support for Matt de Ferranti, the Democratic nominee for the Arlington County Board.

“Matt has worked hard to engage with our members over the last four years. As Chair, he led the Board in passing collective bargaining, a critical step in valuing the professional firefighters of Local 2800 who serve Arlington,” said Local President Brian Lynch. He continues, “Matt also engages with our members, valuing the important life and safety services we provide. Our members are proud to endorse him in this County Board election.”

“Earning the support of the professional firefighters who serve our community is a true honor. At any moment, any of us could find ourselves putting our lives in the hands of the members of our Fire Department,” said Matt de Ferranti.  “The support is particularly important to me because of the critical public safety and public health services they provide. I look forward to working with Local 2800 to win this election.”

Ahead of the November 8, 2022 General Election, Matt de Ferranti has earned the support of NOVALabor, the Sierra Club’s Potomac Chapter, the Sun Gazette, and numerous other organizations and individuals across the County. Matt is working relentlessly, listening to voters, and engaging to earn the opportunity to serve Arlington over the next four years.
